Filestar launches 3 new features to speed up your file conversions

We have just launched three really cool features that will make your daily work with files more blissful.

Filestar Shortcuts

Many of you use Filestar for the same file conversions over and over. Maybe you convert daily Excel reports into pdf. Or work with images where you often need to change them from one file format into another. With the new feature Filestar Shortcuts, you can create your own automated skill accessible right on your desktop.

When you have finished one of those skills in Filestar that you know you want to use again, press the Desktop Shortcut button. Choose the name and place for the shortcut, and you are done. Whenever you want to do that conversion again, just drag and drop your files onto the shortcut icon on the desktop - and the skill will be started and done automatically. Filestar Recommendations

We have built a feature that anticipates what you want to do to a file that you have selected in Filestar. We identify the file format for you and suggest the most likely skills under the search box. If you don't find your conversion there, type in the search box what you want to do, or explore among all skills available for your particular file type.

Filestar Dropzones

With the new feature Filestar Dropzones, it is even more smooth to drag and drop your files onto the app. When you do so the view instantly turns into dropzones and we display what we think you want to do to your files. If you find a suggestion that matches, just drop the files there. Otherwise, drop them in the zone where you can choose from any skill.

Make sure you have the latest version of Filestar to enjoy these new features. Go to the Help menu in the app and choose Check for Updates to update. Our download it from the website.
