Un fichier PPM est une image en couleur 24 bits enregistrée dans un format texte. Il stocke chaque pixel avec un nombre compris entre 0 et 65 536, qui indique sa couleur. Les fichiers PPM stockent aussi la hauteur et la largeur de l’image, les données d’espacement et la valeur maximale de couleur.
