- Description
- TOML (Tom's Obvious, Minimal Language) is a plain-text configuration file format designed to be easy to read and to map unambiguously to a hash table. A TOML file holds key-value pairs grouped into tables, with typed values such as strings, integers, floats, booleans, dates and arrays. It is widely used for application and project settings, for example Rust's Cargo.toml and Python's pyproject.toml.
- YAML is a human-readable data serialization language, commonly used for configuration files and in applications that involve data storage. It is a structured language, based on indentation, that is easy to read and write. YAML files typically have the file extension ".yml" or ".yaml" and they are used to store data in a hierarchical structure.
