- Description
- The WTV (Windows Recorded TV Show) file format is used by Microsoft's Windows Media Center to store TV recordings. Introduced with Windows 7 as a successor to the earlier DVR-MS format used by Windows XP Media Center Edition, WTV files allow users to record live television broadcasts or schedule recordings directly through their computers equipped with a compatible TV tuner card. These files encapsulate both the video and audio streams, along with metadata such as broadcast information and closed captions.
- The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a versatile file type designed to present documents in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. Created by Adobe in the 1990s, PDF files can encapsulate text, fonts, images, and even interactive elements like hyperlinks, forms, and multimedia content. This format is widely used for its ability to preserve the original formatting of a document, ensuring that it can be viewed and printed as intended across different platforms.
