- The SCT file type, associated with Windows Scriptlet, is a script file format used by Windows Script Host. Scriptlets are small pieces of code written in languages supported by the Windows Script Host, such as VBScript or JScript. An SCT file contains XML-formatted data that defines the script's properties, references, and the script code itself.
