An EXP file is an embroidery CAM (computer aided manufacturing) file saved in the Melco EXP format. It contains codes that tell the needle of a commercial sewing machine how to create an embroidery. EXP files may also be saved in the Bernina USB EXP format, which is used for embroideries made by personal sewing machines.
Image format that uses JPEG 2000 advanced wavelet compression; supports color depths of 8, 24, and 32 bits per pixel; also supports grayscale, RGB, YCbCr, XYZ, and Lab color spaces.
