Kodak Digital Camera Raw Image File (DCR) is a raw image format created by Kodak. The images stored in this format are in their uncompressed and lossless versions. But you can edit these image files using the most common photo editing software. SLR cameras are the most significant users of the DCR files. All the information stored in the DCR files remains exactly as it was captured by the camera lens plus all metadata. No adjustments are done to the images. As a result, the files are a bit bulky but they provide high-quality photos. However, if you don’t plan on editing the photos then there is no need of using excessive memory card space. DCR is compatible with; windows 10, 9, and 8. Adobe Director, Lightroom Classic, file viewer, Microsoft windows photos, CorelDraw graphics suite, Adobe Photoshop Express for android.
