Some files can have multiple scene descriptions. For Blend animation files, they hold all objects, sounds, images, scenes, effects, and textures used in the animation. It’s not your basic 3D or animation file but it’s more of a project file. Most Blend files don’t have a definite structure as they are unique to a specific blender version. As a result, there is no standard blend file format specifications. However, all files are backward and forward compatible meaning they can be read with both newer and older Blender versions.
