PSB File Format & Conversions
This is Adobe Photoshop’s biggest document file. The PSB file extension is an abbreviation for Photoshop Big file and it is very similar to the popular PSD (Photoshop Document) file.
Adobe Photoshop is known to save files in two default formats. The PSD and PSD. All the files with 30000*30000 pixels or less are saved in the PSD format. Any files larger than that are saved in the PSB format up to 300000*300000 pixels. Basically, PSD files are up to 2GB while PSB files are over 4.2 billion GBs. Insanely huge, right?
These files can be opened with Adobe Photoshop program and any text editor as they contain plain texts. The files support all Photoshop features including layers, filters, and effects. You can use VLC to read the subtitles.
NOTE: You may come across PSB file extensions that aren’t Photoshop files. PowerDivX Subtitles files, use the .psb extension. These are text files that contain subtitles saved by the PowerDivX multimedia player.
